All In

I have been in the practice of core value work for years. I revisit my values and behaviors often. Over the last month, I decided to be in a daily practice of noticing where I am “All In” for that day. It turns out, it was essentially a daily reflection of my core values.

I spent time today reflecting on how I have spent the last month; the people and things to which I have chosen to give my time and energy. These are my actual desired behaviors, and every single one of them was aligned with my values.

As I move into 2020, I am aware of how much time I give to things that are unintentional. Things that take away from my best life. Things I feel obligated to do, because of ego, because of fear, because of playing safe.

It is easy to slip into judgement of myself. I am someone who KNOWS the practices, and what to do to live intentionally. And somehow, I make different choices over and over. I allow old behaviors to sneak in, the doubts and fears to take the driver’s seat. What I can do is stay committed to recognizing when I slip, when I begin to live in default mode.

What I know is our words and thoughts create our realities. So instead of focusing on the behaviors I DON’T want to continue, I will create commitments for the year. I will revisit each day the things I want to be in my life. And I will choose them. Every day.

1.     Discover your core values.

2.     Choose measurable behaviors aligned with each value.

3.     Revisit every day.

Love. Connection. Freedom. Spirituality. Integrity. Joy.
